Working Together

Trust, warmth and confidentiality

The therapeutic relationship can feel very different to the other relationships we have in our life. As your counsellor I'll provide a space for you to enter into that is warm, respectfully sensitive and free of judgement and expectations, all boundaried in complete confidentiality.

A space to

grow

As your trust in the therapeutic relationship develops it's likely you'll feel increasingly safe to explore aspects of your experience that might have previously felt scary, shameful or simply confusing, allowing those aspects to find their voice.

To be uniquely

yourself

As a humanistic counsellor I'll hold and support both your uniqueness in the world and your innate potential to find your way to an experience that is increasingly fulfilling and meaningful to you as you begin to express your uniqueness.

Fees & Other Practicalities
I work online and by phone nationally, and in-person in the Brighton & Hove area with individuals, young people and EAP's.

I presently have availability for new client work - both online/phone and in-person - please get in touch to discuss your present needs.  Because of your own commitments to family and work I am available early morning and late evening.

Sessions are 60 minutes and we will usually meet at a regular time each week or fortnight.  We can work for an agreed number of sessions or you might want to keep it open-ended. We can review the work we do together at agreed intervals and make any appropriate changes.

Fees.  Decide how much you are able to afford in accordance with your household income:
      upto £25K - £30-00/session
      £25-40K - £40-00/session
      £40K+ - £50-00/session

If your household income is lower than £25K I may be able to offer a lower rate, depending on availability.  Please ask.

More About Pat

I feel extraordinarily privileged to be able to call myself a helping person. Having moved through difficulties and challenges of my own psychological landscape towards an ever-better experience of living, I relish the prospect of being able to support others on their own journey.
At the heart of my practice as a person-centred counsellor
is the aspiration to support the uniqueness that is you, that you'll feel able to increasingly express yourself from a place of felt authenticity, allowing you to move naturally towards an experience that is meaningful, fulfilling and peaceful.  Both continuous personal development and self-directed learning are at the heart of my continuing practice.
Qualified to L4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and L5 Fnd. Degree in Counselling Approaches, I'm currently studying an introduction to Integrative Psychotherapy whilst simultaneously developing specialisms in Person-Centred Counselling, Spirituality and, as an aspiring writer, in creativity.
